Always More to Say, Always More to Write

Aviva B. Moore, Ed.D

Aviva Moore was born in Philadelphia in the late 1970’s, the daughter of Marilyn and Garrett Bergman, and the younger sister of her brother Ben. Naturally independent and endlessly energetic, Aviva grew up navigating the space between thoughtful rule-follower and curious boundary-tester. She channeled that drive into athletics at an early age, rising to national ranks as a gymnast, breaking ground as the first female wrestler in her school’s league, and Division III diving at the collegiate level.

She left home to attend college at 16 years old with a lifelong passion for learning. She has pursued and earned credentials from the National Outdoor Leadership School, National Massage Therapy Association, dual-Bachelors degrees from Washington University in St. Louis (including an unofficial Art minor), Masters in Education from Saint Joseph’s University, Wilson Reading Systems Certification, Educational Doctorate in Entrepreneurial Leadership in Education from Johns Hopkins University.

Aviva is currently the founder of Hall Pass Learning Solutions (HPLS), an educational marketplace that offers concierge, student-centered support, helping kids succeed on their terms. With over 15 years of experience in school and camp settings, Aviva knows that success doesn’t come from following a formula—it comes from getting to know each student and understanding how they learn best.

Aviva’s life has been guided by curiosity, courage, and the kind of quiet independence that pushes boundaries with purpose. She also has two daughters and freely acknowledges that parenting is one of the most humbling and rewarding experiences in life. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and their three dogs. She believes in creating, learning, and laughing throughout life; she dances daily,  juggles multiple projects, and nurtures a growing list of stories— because there’s always more to say, always more to write.
